The self-reflection and insight scale: applying item response theory to craft an efficient short form

چکیده
The human ability for self-consciousness—the capacity to reflect on oneself and think about one’s thoughts, experiences, actions—is central understanding personality motivation. present research examined the psychometric properties of Self-reflection Insight Scale (SRIS), a prominent self-report scale measuring individual differences in private self-consciousness. Using tools from Rasch item response theory models, SRIS was evaluated using responses large sample young adults (n = 1192). had many strengths, including essentially zero gender-based differential functioning (DIF), but cluster poor performing items identified based misfit, high local dependence, low difficulty discrimination. Based IRT analyses, concise 12-item scale, evenly balanced between self-reflection insight, crafted. short showed strong dimensionality, reliability, fit, independence as well no gender DIF. Taken together, strengths support its popularity, form will be useful applied contexts where an efficient, version is needed.

Introduction: In order to improve the quality of the teaching process, it is necessary to review the professor-student rapport. The purpose of the present study was to investigate the factor structure and item-response parameters of Professor-Students Rapport Scale-Brief (PSRS-B). Methods: In a descriptive-correlation study, 497 students from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences were ...
متن کاملAn Item Response Theory Analysis of the Self- Monitoring Scale
The Self-Monitoring Scale (SMS) was investigated utilizing item response theory (IRT). First, IRT models that constrained each of the subscale items to have equal discrimination were fitted to the three subscales of the SMS (Acting, Extraversion, and Other-Directedness). These models were then contrasted with separate models that allowed the discriminations to be estimated freely. For all three...

Background: The aim of the present study was to determine the prevalence of disordered internet use amongadolescent university students and its association with various health complaints and behaviours, and mostimportantly to examine the psychometric properties of 9-item Internet Disorder Scale-Short Form (IDS9-SF)using factor ana...
متن کاملCognitive Assessment Applying with Item Response Theory
Using item response theory (IRT) in computer adaptive test (CAT) is critical to assess learners’ readiness for further learning. This theory has assumptions concerning the mathematical relationship between learner’s abilities and item responses. A numerical value from the theory has potential to decide who the best learner is. The IRT score only provides the learner’s result and lack of the ass...
